Concrete Weight Calculator
Estimate concrete mass from a known volume and the density of your mix.
Formula
mass = volume × density; 1 t = 1000 kg
Concrete volume: 1 yd³ · Mix density (example): 150 lb/ft³ · Mass ≈ (1 yd³ × 764.554858 L/yd³)×(150 lb/ft³ × 16.01846337 kg/m³/lb/ft³)÷1000 · Pounds ≈ (1,837.049099)÷0.45359237 · Metric tonnes ≈ (1,837.049099)÷1000
How to use
- Enter the concrete volume.
- Use the density for your concrete mix.
- Read kilograms, pounds and metric tonnes.
Examples
- 1 m³ at 2400 kg/m³ weighs 2400 kg.
Frequently asked questions
Which density should I use?
Use supplier data. The 2400 kg/m³ example is not valid for every concrete mix.
Is reinforcement included?
Only if the entered density represents the combined material. Otherwise add steel separately.
Does this calculate volume?
No. Use the concrete volume calculator first if only slab dimensions are known.
