How KiloAtlas uses analytics, consent choices, language preferences and browser storage.
Conversion inputs are calculated in your browser. If you open a conversion or value page, its URL is sent to the server. Search suggestions send the search text and selected language to our search endpoint. You do not need an account to use these tools.
When enabled, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), delivered through Google Tag Manager (GTM), measures visits and use of the site. GA4 may store the _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. We keep the advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization consent settings denied.
In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we wait for your permission before loading GTM. Elsewhere, analytics may run unless you decline. Select “Reject analytics” in the cookie panel, or open “Analytics settings” in the footer to decline or withdraw permission at any time. This stops future GTM loading, removes accessible _ga and _ga_* cookies, and reloads the page if GTM has already loaded. Declining does not affect the conversion tools.
The ka_consent cookie remembers your choice for 180 days: g means allowed and d means declined. It is set only when you choose. When analytics is not configured, its scripts and choice panel are absent.
When enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page visits and performance without cookies. It runs independently of the Google Analytics choice.
Choosing a language stores the cv_lang cookie for one year. The theme button saves light or dark in local storage as cv_theme, which is read on later page loads; light is the default. After you interact with a tool, local storage may also remember decimal settings and recently selected units as cv_prefs. Local storage has no automatic expiry in this app. You can remove these preferences through your browser settings.
