Degrees to Percent Slope Calculator
Convert a slope angle to percent grade or convert percent grade back to degrees.
Formula
Grade = 100 tan(θ); θ = atan(grade/100), with θ in degrees.
Slope angle ≈ (45) · Percent grade ≈ 100×tan((45)×pi÷180)
How to use
- Choose the conversion direction.
- Enter only the angle or grade used by that direction.
- Read signed degrees and percent grade.
Examples
- 45° = 100% grade.
