Money Weight Calculator
Estimate the mass and face value of one denomination from count and mass per note or coin.
Formula
mass = count × mass each; value = count × denomination
Mass each (example): 1 g · Total kilograms ≈ (100)×(1 g × 0.001 kg/g) · Total grams ≈ (0.1)×1000 · Total face value ≈ (100)×(20)
How to use
- Count identical notes or coins.
- Enter denomination and measured or published mass each.
- Read total mass and value in the same currency.
Examples
- 100 notes of denomination 20 at 1 g each weigh about 100 g and total 2000.
Frequently asked questions
Is one gram universal?
No. BEP gives about 1 g for US notes. Other notes and coins need their own mass.
Can I mix denominations?
Calculate each group separately, then add masses; add values only within one currency.
Are wrappers included?
No. Add packaging separately. Wear and moisture can change measured mass.
