Sales calculator

Calculate net sales after returns, allowances and sales discounts.

Net sales

18,200.00
Gross sales
20,000.00
Total reductions
1,800.00

Formula

Gross sales = price × quantity; net sales = gross sales − returns − allowances − discounts.

Gross sales ≈ (200)×(100) · Total reductions ≈ (1,000)+(300)+(500) · Net sales ≈ (20,000)-(1,800)

How to use

  1. Enter unit price and quantity sold for one reporting period.
  2. Enter returns, allowances and discounts as money amounts.
  3. Read gross sales, reductions and net sales.

Examples

  • 100 items at 200, less returns 1,000, allowances 300 and discounts 500: net sales 18,200.
