Clock Angle Calculator
Find the smaller angle between the hour and minute hands of an ideal 12-hour clock.
Formula
δ = |30(h mod 12) − 5.5m|; angle = min(δ, 360 − δ).
Smaller angle ≈ min((75),360-(75))
How to use
- Enter the hour from 0 to 23.
- Enter whole minutes from 0 to 59.
- Read the smaller angle in degrees.
Examples
- At 03:30 the hour hand is at 105° and the minute hand at 180°, giving 75°.
