Watts to Volts Calculator
Find voltage from real power and current for DC or sinusoidal AC.
Formula
DC: V = P/I; 1φ: V = P/(I·PF); 3φ: V = P/(√3 I·PF).
Real power: 24 W · Current: 2 A · Voltage ≈ (24 W)÷(2 A)
How to use
- Choose DC or the AC phase arrangement.
- Enter real power, positive current and positive AC PF.
- Read DC voltage or RMS AC voltage.
Examples
- 1000 W, 5 A and PF = 0.8 single-phase give 250 V.
Frequently asked questions
Can watts alone give volts?
No. Current is needed, plus PF for AC.
What is three-phase voltage?
Line-to-line RMS voltage for a balanced load using RMS line current.
Why must AC PF be positive?
At PF = 0, real power cannot determine voltage. DC ignores the PF field.
