Air fryer converter
Apply your chosen time and temperature reductions to an oven recipe.
Formula
Minutes = oven minutes × (1 − reduction/100); °C setting = oven °C − drop.
Oven temperature: 400 °F · Adjusted time ≈ (30)×(1-(20)÷100) · Adjusted setting ≈ (400 °F × 0.5555555556 K/°F + 255.3722222 K)-273.15-(0) · Adjusted setting ≈ (204.4444444)×9÷5+32
How to use
- Enter the oven recipe’s temperature and minutes.
- Enter reductions from your appliance’s recipe guidance.
- Check food early; confirm safe doneness with a food thermometer.
Examples
- 30 minutes reduced by 20% gives 24 minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Is 20% a universal conversion?
No. The default illustrates InstantHeat guidance (20–30%). Other models, loads and foods differ; use their instructions.
Why is the temperature drop zero?
InstantHeat suggests a 14°C (about 25°F) drop only if food browns too fast. Enter the drop in Celsius degrees.
Does the timer prove food is safe?
No. These are arithmetic settings, not validated cooking times. Follow food/package guidance and measure the required internal temperature.
